About Us
Gastrointestinal Specialists, Inc. is a group of 18 board-certified gastroenterologists and 14 nurse practitioners/physician assistants. We have been providing comprehensive GI care for more than 30 years throughout the Greater Richmond area.
GSI has 4 offices throughout central Virginia, and we perform procedures at our 2 endoscopy centers, allowing us to provide fast, easy access to routine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
We treat the entire spectrum of gastrointestinal and liver diseases including gastrointestinal bleeding, biliary tract disease, inflammatory bowel disease, peptic ulcer disease, GI motility disorders, pancreatic disease, cancers, and benign neoplasms throughout the gastrointestinal and biliary tract.

Our History
Gastrointestinal Specialists, Inc. was incorporated in 1983. Since then, the group has evolved and grown, adding more physicians as required but always searching for the best GI doctors coming from some of the strongest training programs in the country.
We have a long tradition of physician participation in continuing medical education programs, so our physicians are always aware of and acquainted with the newest treatments, tests, and technology to offer our patients.
As we continue to grow and evolve, we continue our focus on individualized, high-quality care delivered in a compassionate manner and performed as efficiently as possible, with an emphasis on communication and respect.
