Dr. Siddiqui attended the University of North Carolina prior to transferring to the University of Illinois-Chicago and graduating with a B.S. in Biochemistry in 2007. Following his undergraduate training, he earned his medical degree (D.O.) in Davie, FL from Nova Southeastern University COM in 2014. Afterwards, he completed his residency training in internal medicine at the University of Texas-Health Science Center in Houston in the esteemed Texas Medical Center. Subsequently, he completed his fellowship training in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the Medical College of Virginia where he had the honor of serving as Chief Gastroenterology Fellow. During his fellowship, he has published in multiple peer-reviewed medical journals such as Hepatology and Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology and has had his research presented at both national and international conferences.
Dr Siddiqui performs routine procedures such as upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, small bowel enteroscopy, esophageal pH testing, esophageal manometry and video capsule endoscopy. He has professional memberships with the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease (AASLD). He has experience treating a multitude of patients and managing conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), colorectal cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, cirrhosis, autoimmune hepatitis, primary biliary cholangitis, difficulty swallowing, gastroparesis, GI motility disorders, diarrhea, constipation, dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome. Dr. Siddiqui’s approach to patient care involves being an advocate by listening and educating patients to help them understand their symptoms and to guide them in making informed decisions about their health.
